Every feature and ornament has been thoughtfully selected to represent either the venue’s rich heritage or our only family’s past, present and future, which we welcome guests to enjoy with us.
BRIGHT SUNNY ELEGANCE
This is where our wedding receptions and evening celebrations take place and we have kept the furnishings deliberately sparse to show off the grand fireplace and beautiful, ornate carvings in the walls and ceiling. The walls feature just a couple of original paintings by Lindsey’s great uncle Reginald Charles Bell. The ceilings, meanwhile, are brought to life by three beautiful, twinkly antique crystal chandeliers inspired by old photos of the house.
The Drawing Room looks out onto the patio and series of stone steps which lead down to the beautiful Highfield lawns which add a pleasant, external option for our wedding festivities. We call the main stone step ‘The Barbara Step’ because it replaced the previous rickety stone steps and was paid for from the kind inheritance from Andy’s grandma Barbara.
The hand crafted ceilings are made in cast plaster, they show a our rich history folk law and rural living. Mother nature sits centrally feeding the creatures and plants surrounding...

A ruby red nook sits at one end of the Drawing room,
often now used as a beutiful framing for wedding cakes...
'A legend has it', or at least as many will have us believe... your fist kiss here is in full view of mother nature above
and will ensure great fertility!
